BERNARDIN® Dill Pickle Mix
Transform pickling cucumbers and your favourite vegetables into tangy Dill Pickles with a convenient new mix from Bernardin. Creating old-fashioned, homemade pickles is quicker, easier and more fun when you start with a canning mix from Bernardin. Each mix includes recipes for quick Refrigerated Pickles or Traditional heat processed pickles (for shelf-stable storage).
You select and prepare the vegetable; add vinegar, water and the contents of the pickling mix pouch and pack into mason jars. For Quick Pickles, refrigerate the filled jars for several days to allow flavours to mellow – and enjoy. Refrigerated pickles may be stored up to three months. For Shelf-Stable pickles, heat process the filled jars in a boiling water canner. After cooling and checking the seals, the pickles can be stored in your cupboard. For best quality, consume within 1 year.
Each package includes complete recipes and preparation directions for pickling cucumbers, asparagus, carrots, cauliflower, yellow and green beans, onions and zucchini.
